Our Services

democracyCo provides the following services

Engagement Strategy Design

We design bespoke engagement processes which meet your timelines and budget. Have a problem, challenge or opportunity that you want to address? The best first step is to develop a strategy for exploring the issue with those affected or interested.

Workshop design and Facilitation

We are expert facilitators. We manage and facilitate groups of any size. It’s about switching on their collective potential and getting the best out of people and groups.

Partnership Building and Collaboration

What could be better than having all stakeholders working together? It’s immensely powerful and we can help you to strengthen and improve your partnerships and collaborations.

Training

democracyCo are experienced providers of deliberative community engagement training and provide high quality training courses in Australia and overseas. In 2019 we launched our enormously popular “Raising the Citizens’ Voice” training.

Engagement Policy Development

The team at democracyCo have extensive experience in government policy making and in particular in the development of internal policies that guide the organisation/ agency or governments approach to engagement.

Citizens’ Juries and mini publics

democracyCo is one of the most experienced organisations in the world in running mini publics – having delivered more than 30 over the last four years.

In 2017 we delivered the world’s largest citizens’ jury, involving 350 people on one of the most polarising topics – nuclear waste storage, for the South Australian Government.

"democracyCo have independence in getting some interesting ‘skunkwork’ style things happening, to try stuff and see what comes of it. I’m excited by innovation in this area. Even if it’s tiny, it puts more power and influence in the hands of the people."
